I"m goin lion huntin---I"m goin lion huntin   I"m not afraid ---I"m not afraid  I got my trusty gun and my bullits by my side....How so very preciousyou were marching up and down the living room with that old wooden rifle and repeating that verse,Son i miss you with all that is in me..
Judy

I remember the very first day we met, just like it was yesterday. June 1, 1983. I remember our first kiss even though I had to be the one to steal that first kiss.I first kissed Joe while he was at work, it was my last day of school for the year and he worked at a local service station. I had seen him there many times and he would always talk to me but this day was different.

Joe asked me out on June 10,1983 and we had our first date Thursday June 16,1983. We were together from then on. It was love at first site. I just knew deep in my heart that he was the one that I would spend my life with.

He was so handsome.

We didn't really go anywhere on our first date. We just parked and talked alot and learned all about each other. I still remember feeling like I had known him all my life. I was so comfotable with Joe.

We only dated a few weeks before we told each other that we loved the other. It was only 3 and a half months before he asked me to marry him. October 1,1983.

We were married Sunday December 16,1984.

Nothing special about the day, we went to a friends home, who was a preacher that we both knew. Randy Estep, there was no family there. The preacher, and his wife and mother were the only people at our wedding. It sounds sad but we didn't care we didn't need all the fuss, we just wanted to get married and start our life together.

We started our life together with nothing. We had no jobs, no place to live and no money. I guess you could say in the very begining we lived on love.

We finally got jobs and were able to move out of his mom's house into our own apartment. We had one chair and a small tv, that was the only furniture we had. Thank God for friends, before long we had all the furniture we needed.

We got pregnant with our first child and moved into our 2nd apartment the summer of 1985, Jessica entered our world December 11,1985.

Boy did things change really fast.

We were so young and dumb we really had no idea what we were doing. All we knew to do was to love this baby girl that God had graced us with. Lots of sleepless nights.

Within 15 months we were welcoming our Baby boy Justin March 16, 1987.

Joe was a great Daddy. Very patient and excited about teaching them everything he could. Joe loved being a daddy. He was a very proud dad.

The years seemed to pass so quickly and before we knew it they started school, and in the blink of an eye high school was staring us in the face.

Joe taught both kids how to drive. i think it was his way of spending quality time with teenagers when they weren't expecting it.

Joe and I both tried to instill values into the kids.

Jessica and Justin were both very proud of their Daddy.

Jessica has been out on her own for several years now. Justin joined the U.S. Army when he was only 17. Joe and I had to sign the papers because he was under age. Joe was so proud of Justin because he was making a future for himself.
